I’m Joireen, the owner and artist behind Alaska Quilting Company. It has been a long journey to the launching of Alaska Quilting Company. Raised on a homestead halfway between Willow and Talkeetna, Alaska, I have been sewing and quilting since I was a child. My inspiration has been found in the gorgeous scenery of Alaska, and I have spent many years honing my skills as a quilter. For many years, I would piece quilt tops and machine quilt them on my conventional home machines. More recently, I have added a long arm quilting machine to my studio. I have come to realize that I could never piece as many tops as I can quilt. I love the process of turning a quilt top into a quilt! So, I am offering my services to others who create quilt tops they would like professionally quilted.  Whether the quilt is a modern or classic design, I enjoy finishing them off with complimentary quilting stitches.
